DESCRIPTION:Let’s play the murder party game at the museum! Just bring yourself/or some friends. At the start of the game\, everyone chooses a card which reveals their character. We’ll walk around the museum\, interacting in character while trying to figure out who the murderer is. \nThere are lots of variations of this party game\, so you probably are aware of it. The game we will play is a combination of Clue and Among Us! \nLet’s just laugh together and have fun! \nAll adults welcome. \nWe’ll meet at the Wicoff House Museum\, inside the Municipal Complex at 641 Plainsboro Road. DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce our Teens in Museums Workshop!  \nThis is a FREE workshop for museum professionals and volunteers to learn about the successful Youth Advisory Council program at the Wicoff House. During the last three years\, our museum YAC has had over 100 teens and pre-teens as volunteer members. We currently have about 50 active members. The group meets weekly at our museum\, and assists with event and program development\, archive and exhibit projects\, and outreach and community relations. \nThe Wicoff House Museum Youth Advisory Council has changed the way every aspect of our museum operates. It has helped ensure our museum’s sustainability and relevancy. We are passionate about helping other small museums establish their own museum youth groups! \nThrough a grant from the Middlesex County Office of Arts & History\, we are able to provide this free workshop that will be packed with information and ideas. You will hear about our museum’s successes and challenges with our YAC. Hopefully you will be inspired and empowered to go back to your museum and establish your own! \nThe workshop will be on Saturday\, December 3rd\, from 11am-2pm. Lunch will be provided. You will also see how we have the youth spaces set up in our museum. A question and answer session will follow the presentation\, where you can interact with our YAC members and learn more from their own perspectives and experiences. \nThe workshop location is the Plainsboro Recreation Center\, which is in the same municipal complex with the Wicoff House Museum. DESCRIPTION:Please join us at the Wicoff House Museum for this SANKRANTI event. This event will be limited to about 100 people per hour\, so please register the total number of your group that will be attending the event. Activities will be socially distanced\, and visitors will be asked to wear masks. \nYou can still check out our temporary exhibits inside the museum. One is a living interpretation of John V. B. Wicoff’s study\, as it may have looked in the early 20th century when he lived in the Wicoff House and worked as a gentleman farmer\, lawyer and bank president. The second exhibit contains objects owned by the Wicoff family\, such as Mrs. Wicoff’s wedding dress. \nActivities will include games and crafts\, such as painting a mandala suncatcher\, making/flying kites and making rangolis on the driveway. Kids will receive an activity booklet to complete for a prize. There will also be a new museum scavenger hunt! \nCelebrate and dance outside by the fire. Refreshments will be provided.

DESCRIPTION:The Wicoff House Museum Youth Advisory Council presents: Escape the Museum! Join us at the Wicoff House for this fun family event. You will be “locked” in the rooms of the historic Wicoff House with the ghosts of its former residents! Learn the stories of their lives to uncover clues and solve riddles so that you can escape before time runs out! These rooms are not the same as our 2019 escape rooms. A $5 ticket (pay at the door) includes escape room admission\, a slice of pizza and drink\, and a souvenir. This event is best suited for children 8 and up. Proceeds benefit the Wicoff House Museum Youth Advisory Council and the Friends of the Wicoff House. Last admission at 7:40 pm.
