Man in the Moon

by | Feb 29, 2024 | History of Plainsboro, Museum Collections, Uncategorized | 0 comments

Here is another whimsical ceramic tile produced by the Mueller Mosaic Company at the Wicoff House Museum. An entire series of nursery rhyme characters were produced by Mueller. This one features the “Man in the Moon” from Mother Goose:

The man in the moon,
Came down too soon,
To inquire his way to Norwich.
He went by the south,
And burnt his mouth
With eating cold pease porridge.
